Textile recycling firms team up to create full recycling line

Jul 29, 2023

German textile technology company Trützschler has partnered with Turkish equipment supplier Balkan Textile Machinery to create what they claim is the first “full liner in spinning preparation for recycling” textile waste.

The line-up developed by Trützschler and Balkan Textile Machinery completes an existing product range for textile recycling by enabling the production of rotor and ring spun yarns from recycled materials.

You can feed textile waste into Balkan Textile Machinery’s machinery to have it cut, mixed, and ripped so that it can be pressed into secondary fibre bales. Trützschler machines can then be supplied with these fibres to produce yarn from recycled materials.

Trützschler’s director of sales and marketing Markus Wurster says: “We are now able to provide a complete line-up of technologically leading machinery which has been specifically developed for rotor and ring yarns from recycled materials.”

Balkan Textile Machinery’s owner Osman Balkan adds: “I am very happy that we can join forces with such a strong international player like Trützschler.”
